OOTD>My Domino Dollhouse birthday

As you could probably tell, I am very excited about the delectable dresses from Domino Dollhouse.  I received mine in the mail on Tuesday and was so excited because I knew I had an occasion to wear my dress on Thursday aka my birthday. 

I always get nervous with ordering clothes online because I am never sure if the items will fit over my boobs, even when items have spandex.   BUT a huge sigh of relief came out of my mouth when my  Wow-termelon Dress fit with no issues!! SO ladies that are packing some bra meat…this is your dress line.  The back of the dress is smocked, so it will fit to any size.  In fact, I ordered the dress in the largest size(4x) and I should go a size down.  ANYWAYS, needless to say, I loved the dress and I think every girl should have a delectable goodie in their wardrobe. 

For my look, I wanted to take the dress to more of a dressy level.  I wore a pair of nylons and high heels.  I also had a black and pink beaded Betsey Johnson necklace I wore with the matching earrings.  Because the dress was a little big, I wore a black patent leather belt around the waist and actually tucked some of the dress into the belt, so I could make it appear tighter and shorter( such a slut thing to do, I know).  I also had some pink clip on I put in my hair that night, and my cropped torrid blazer. 

My hair was BUGGING the crap out of me that night.  I curled it, fell flat, I had it in an updo but was too heavy and dirty to stay up.  So I did a some up and some down and was hoping that the amazing cleavage the dress gave me would distract from my crap hair.  For my make-up, I used MAC swimming  green and humid green on my eyes, I used a combination of pink blushes, and California Dreams lipstick by MAC.

The things I want for August

I am soooo sorry I have been such a slacker on posting lately.  My husband and I have rescued two puppies and I haven't been exactly dressing cute.  Anyways, I still manage to look online and obsess over things that I would love to have and love to share with all of you.

What do you guys think? Isn't it all so cute.  I so wish that us plus size girls had the same shopping options as straight sized.  There are so many cute things on Patricia Field and Shop Nasty Gal.  I am confident that one day there will be.  :)

OOTD>Rainbow Bright & Tips when buying forever 21+

I have been a bit naughty lately and have had a lot of purchases.  Most of them have been from Forever 21+. 


I get a lot of questions about how Forever 21+ fits. The fit at forever 21, really varies.  I tend to stick to the stuff that stretches and I have no problems.  Every once in a while, I will get something and it is unusually small.   

Take this dress for instance. I bought it, fully thinking that it would be fine.  It looks like it would have a loose fit based on the way it fits the model, however, I couldn't even get the dress around my neck.   I realize that I am a fair bit bigger in certain areas then a forever 21 3X but because I have had such good luck there, I decided I needed to order it.


So here are my tips for buying forever 21+...especially if you are bigger than a size 20W.


1. If you can, get to the store and try things on.
2. Forever 21 does not offer full refunds, only store credit...so order wisely.
3. Things tend to fit like a normal Junior Plus Size item, so if you normally can't wear Junior Plus, certain things may not fit.
4. Try and order things that have stretch fabric.  ( this dress did not stretch and therefore a 3X fit like an 18W)
5. Check out how it fits on the model.  If it looks long on the model, it will probably be a bigger fitting item.
6. Lastly, don't be afraid to try, if you are on outside range of Jr. Plus items fitting, don't think that everything won't fit.  I missed out on a lot of really cute items thinking they wouldn't fit, when a lot of Forever 21+ items are generously sized.

I paired this sweater with a black fringe dress, tons of rainbow jewelry, and purple tights.  

OOTD> Burlesque Bingo

I had the absolute pleasure of attending the fabulous Frankie Sin in Burlesque Bingo. I wanted to wear something a little more provocative and out there.  I bought a sweater from Torrid and I love it, but I was wearing a black skirt and the sweater is black and white, so I wanted a pop of color.  I saw my husbands pink tie in the closet and thought.. perfect!

This is my new sweater from Torrid.

 

I paired this sweater with a neck tie and a mini petticoat as my skirt.  

For my make-up and hair, I wanted to do a black smoky eye, pink cheek, and a baby pink lip.  I also had VERY dirty hair, so I took the opportunity to tease and have it messy.

Today my outfit was inspired by 1950’s , going to the hop fashion. 

I bought these great pants from Forever 21 and my new favorite cardigan from Forever 21.  You can see that I have been getting some use out of this cardigan.

But today I am wearing a silky plum shirt from sizeappeal.com that I purchased about 7 years ago, and my metallic little tennis shoe meets oxfords that my mom got me from Kohls.  I hope you enjoy the photos.  Let me know what you think. :)
